This Privacy Policy describes how MothLight currently handles information.
1. Introduction
MothLight is a mobile game published by PureNest. This Privacy Policy explains what information the current version of MothLight does and does not handle. It applies to the MothLight iOS app.
2. Information We Collect
MothLight does not collect personal information. PureNest does not receive names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment card details, or gameplay data from your use of the app.
MothLight does not have user accounts created by PureNest. It does not access the camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, or Bluetooth.
Gameplay can be enjoyed offline. An internet connection is used only when you interact with the App Store for optional purchases, restore purchases, or open App Store review / legal links.
3. Information Stored Locally
MothLight may store some information locally on your device so the game can remember your preferences, progress, and purchase unlocks. This information stays on your device and is used to provide the gameplay experience.
Local information may include:
- Game settings
- Music preferences
- Sound effect preferences
- Haptic preferences
- Theme preferences
- Selected lantern
- Selected game mode
- Selected journey distance
- Local playtime information
- Local game scores
- Local run history
- Journey completion progress
- Flight guide / tutorial completion state
- Local leaderboard data
- Purchase unlock status for optional In-App Purchases (for example, whether all journeys or all lanterns have been unlocked)
- Whether Apple's standard rating prompt was already requested for the current app version
The leaderboard is currently local only. There is no PureNest online leaderboard, account system, cloud synchronization, or PureNest server backend for MothLight.
4. In-App Purchases and Apple
MothLight may offer optional one-time In-App Purchases (non-consumable unlocks), such as unlocking all journeys or all lantern styles. These purchases are not required to play. Content can also be unlocked through normal play.
Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. PureNest does not receive or store your payment card number, billing address, or Apple Account password. Apple may process purchase-related information under Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms.
After a successful purchase, MothLight may store unlock status locally on your device so purchased content remains available. You can use Restore Purchases in Settings to re-apply purchases associated with your Apple Account (for example after reinstalling the app).
Refunds, billing questions, and Apple Account purchase history are handled by Apple. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, unlock status may be removed when the app next checks entitlements with the App Store.
5. Analytics and Tracking
MothLight does not currently use analytics, advertising tracking, or cross-app tracking. MothLight does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
6. Third-Party Services
The current version of MothLight does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or backend services that collect user data for PureNest.
MothLight uses Apple platforms that are part of iOS and the App Store, including StoreKit for In-App Purchases and restore, and may open Apple or developer web pages (such as this Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Support, or the App Store review page) in Safari or the App Store app when you choose those links.
7. Children's Privacy
MothLight does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any users. If you believe a child has provided personal information to PureNest in connection with MothLight, contact us and we will delete it if we have it.
8. Data Security
Because gameplay and unlock information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to PureNest servers, PureNest does not maintain a server containing your MothLight gameplay or personal data.
No method of storage is completely secure. You can help protect locally stored progress and unlocks by keeping your device secure and by using your device's built-in protections. Purchases tied to your Apple Account can usually be restored with Restore Purchases even if local data is cleared.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if MothLight's functionality changes. When we update it, we will change the Last Updated date on this page. Please review this page from time to time.
